Many people ask me how I became a priest. It was a blessed journey of discerning my calling. While I was at home recovering from my second thoracotomy, I decided to take some time to write about this journey.
You can read my testimony [here].
A few weeks ago, while driving to St. Barbara Parish to celebrate a funeral, I heard the voice of the Lord telling me that it was a privilege to represent him and speak words of comfort and consolation to those who grieve.
It is indeed a privilege to help people deepen their faith in Christ and experience his merciful love. All Christians are called to this witness. As a priest, I get to be part of people’s lives during some beautiful times and through some very challenging times.
As St. Paul said, “My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen” (Philippians 4:19). I couldn’t agree with him more!
