I was so happy to be invited back to the annual SCRC Conference over Labor Day of this year.
SCRC was a huge blessing to me during my 5 years at the seminary from 1992-1997. I loved attending their events and meeting other people who were baptized in the Holy Spirit. I met some great presenters and other poeple during those years and what a blessing to be able to come back and be a part of it.
Below are the three talks I gave and the Keynote presentations I used with them.
In this presentation, I talk about how to stay joyful and radiant amidst the challenges of discipleship, especially drawing upon the text of Psalm 34 which states, “Look to him that you might be radiant with joy and your face not blush with shame.”

In this presentation, we examine how our thinking and the call to hold every thought captive to Christ helps us tear down strongholds. A stronghold is a repeated pattern of thought, a deception, or an unconscious agreement with a lie that gives sin, fear, or addiction power in a person’s life. It is a spiritual and mental “fortress” built by repeated choices, trauma, or false beliefs that blocks freedom in Christ.
